Title (required)
SCUM Manifesto (1977)
Creator
Valerie Solanas
Description (required)
This a political pamphlet published in 1977 by Valerie Solanas, a radical feminist known for the attempted assassination of Andy Warhol in 1968 and founder of SCUM (Society for Cutting Up Men). This edition of the manifesto follows the bankruptcy of Olympia Press, a publisher that published two unauthorised editions of SCUM Manifesto (in 1968 and 1970) under an incorrect title, containing several typographical errors and unsanctioned edits, and disregarding all edits that were requested by Solanas in 1968. Following the reacquisition of the rights to her Manifesto, Solanas published this six-page "CORRECT Valerie Solanas edition".
